Intensive Courses in Spain

Centro Flamenco Adela
Dear friends of the art of Flamenco,

since 1986, our Flamenco Intensive Courses take places in Andalusia, using my method of teaching developed over 25 years which is appreciated by everyone from beginners to professionals.

Our motto is:

We want to dance Flamenco,
we don´t want to imitate Flamenco movements!

I´m looking forward to your participation!
¡Hasta la vista!
Adela

Teaching

Tanzraum Each class is divided into three sections:
  • Each Training is built up with anatomical correctness, being careful with your joints, especially your knees and your back. Besides its purpose as a warm-up it also serves to feel our whole body in a Flamenco manner and will enable the participants lateron to express their dances in an individual way – although in the true Flamenco style – and achieving the necessary combination of motion and emotion.

So we will feel and lead the movements aut from our body center (body and arm exercises), use gravity (foot exercise), and add on the higher levels exercises for condition and expression as preparation for the choreography.

  • The Dance Work consists of a complete original choreography of mine about a particular theme. What you have done in the training will be put into context.

  • In the Training of your own, participants will check up on and improve in the group what they learnt.

Information evenings about Flamenco, hearing and explaining of Flamenco music in our flower entwined patio or in our cosy bar, question time etc. will be part of our course program and will enable you to integrate the special themes of this year into the great variety of Flamenco art.

The instructions can be given in Spanish, German, English and French.
The Flamenco Dance Teaching will only be in small groups and in a private atmosphere. Each dance course consists of 2 ½ hours daily, of which 1 ½ hours are teaching and (at least) one hour self-training in the group.
Teaching is structured in training and choreography.
